This lecture by Dr. Richard Bell will explore the important\nrole that the alliance with the French played in the American Revolution and how the alliance\nevolved over time from France providing secret support with guns and other goods to France\nworking together with the U.S. to beat the British at the decisive siege of Yorktown.\nFunding for the program series is made possible by the generous financial support of the Robert\nAllan Keeney Memorial Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving\, M & T  Charitable\nFoundation\, Awilda Aponte & Ken Johnson\, and members of Wethersfield Historical Society.
