Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the Buche de Noel class. The chef  did such an amazing job explaining the recipe in really great detail that I even attempted the recipe, which produced a beautiful dessert for our Christmas Eve dinner! We did have an explosion of cocoa powder when we slammed the pan upside down on the towel (should have gotten a picture of that - (with cocoa powder all over the kitchen and ourselves!) but it added to the fun and made a good story when my husband shouted  bûche!

As someone who has spent a great deal of time in Haiti, I was very interested in this subject. I have also been involved in Slavery in the Americas, and this information augmented my understanding of the links of Christianity and Voudoun brought from Africa.

The presenter spoke with enthusiasm and knowledge about the Bayeux tapestry. She also gave extra resources so the subject could be researched by those interested. The presentation was interesting and varied.
