Welcome to the Intermediate summer session level!
After finishing the last unit of the Edito A2 textbook, we will dive into the Edito B1 curriculum.
True to the Edito method, this higher level continues engaging students through developing their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Authentic audio, video and text documents are provided to that end.
The following themes are anticipated to be covered:
“Les uns les autres” – Family dynamics, friendships, shared living, and significant life events;
“Vivre ensemble sur la Terre” – Social behaviors, ecology, and digital etiquette;
“Consommer autrement” – Consumerism, alternative economies (like second-hand markets), and nutrition/food habits.
Of utmost importance, the following linguistic structures will be taught or revisited:
“Le passé composé et l’imparfait” to narrate past experiences and describe background settings;
“Le futur simple” to express intentions and project planning;
“Les pronoms relatifs (qui, que, où, dont);
“Le conditionnel présent” to express wishes or polite requests;
“Le comparatif et le superlatif” to evaluate products and services.
