Begins Wednesday, September 7, 2022

6:00 – 8:00

This class is a review and reinforcement of French language skills.  It is preceded by FR 109 and followed by FR 202-209. Students may then continue to the advanced level with FR 301-309.

Intermediate/advanced language skills are presented.  By the end of this course, students will have reviewed and reinforced previously acquired skills.  There will be an emphasis on authentic cultural context: reinforcing communication skills by developing language acquisition, reading and speaking skills, and cultural awareness.

Students will review expressions for everyday life:  how to introduce and describe themselves, talk about weekly activities, order food and drinks, describe past events, talk about things they used to do when younger, invite people, accept/refuse invitations, ask for help, and describe what they do to others. They will be able to describe people, use expressions for caring for one’s appearance, describe daily routine, and express how they feel.

They will be able to use adjectives; regular and irregular verbs (avoir, faire, aller, être, venir, prendre, connaître, savoir, voir, écire); form and use the passé composé and imparfait; direct and indirect objects; definite articles, and reflexive verbs.
