This class is the continuation of the introduction to French class. It is preceded by FR101 and followed by FR103-FR109.
Students with some knowledge of French will continue to be introduced to the language. The course will emphasize learning basic vocabulary and grammar to be able to understand and speak simple sentences.
Basic language skills are presented. By the end of this course, you will be able to ask for specific information (interrogatives), add emphasis to a statement (stress pronouns), give dates; describe what you own; talk about common objects; talk about people, give their nationality and describe their appearance and personality ; express general opinions, say where you are going, talk about future events, discuss favorite pastimes, show people around town; communicate on the telephone; and talk about France and the French people.
You will be able to use questions words/expressions, stress pronouns, the irregular verbs AVOIR and ALLER, the singular and plural of nouns and articles, the expression.
