This is an intermediate course, continuation of French 109. The class is in person and for adults only.
This course offers a clear structured and reassuring approach to the learner. The authentic taught documents highlight everyday life for active and pragmatic learning of the language.
This intermediate course also favors the approach of authentic communicative tasks through which the learner will develop interaction skills.
Each unit of Edito A2 is centered on a theme that will be addressed through the four skills. The units are made up of varied media: mainly authentic taught documents (written, audio or video) from various French-speaking backgrounds or media, but also recorded dialogues taken from daily life situations.
Particular emphasis is placed on conversation. Phonetics is integrated into each unit to help the learner perfect his pronunciation, to raise awareness of intonation and spelling through targeted activities.
The written and oral production activities proposed promote intercultural exchanges and put the student in a situation of authentic communication , thus allowing him to adapt to concrete situations that he could experience in a French-speaking context.
Students will continue to discover different aspect of French language and culture from reading the novel Les Misérables and watching the movie.
