Join Sylvie in the entertaining world of French dramatist Eugene Labiche (1815-1888) in his brilliant farce and vaudeville: “La Station Champbaudet”(1862). Dashing young architect Paul Catarel pays daily visits to the lonely widow Champbaudet, supposedly to discuss a memorial for her dearly departed husband. But as the widow starts picturing wedding bells instead of tombstones, she is
blissfully unaware that Catarel’s heart – and plans – lie elsewhere entirely.

We will explore the play together through the book and a helpful video, and then you will have the chance to act out a few scenes in class. It’s a fun way to bring the story to life!
