Bienvenue to the Advanced Beginners > Intermediate Class!

The Edito method is a multi-faceted approach to language learning. Each unit centers around a functional, everyday situation, and cultural facts are presented as well about French-speaking countries around the world. Short videos and accompanying CDs add a lively note to our classes.
To achieve fluency in a language, it is important to combine solid knowledge of structures with extensive speaking practice. Emphasis is placed on oral drills, student pairs practices, and occasional role play. Correct pronunciation is encouraged.
This class is offered to our continuing beginners and any learner who may have covered some of the following grammatical structures:

– present tense;
– reflexive verbs;
– near future and recent past;
– imperative;
– present perfect (passé composé avec avoir et être);
– and passé composé of reflexive verbs.

We will start the trimester with a general review of the topics that were covered in the previous session: shopping / daily activities / family / home / travels and vacation / and emotional states. Before reaching Edito 2, our objective for the Spring session is to complete the Edito1 textbook by exploring the following themes: health problems / going to the doctor / university and studies / professional life / city and country living / the medias / and the art of making plans.
