April in Paris – Trinity Film Festival

This spring at Cinestudio on the Trinity College Campus, April in Paris presents “Histoires d’histoire: Storied Histories.” The festival begins with Erich von Stroheim’s epic, final silent feature The Wedding
March (1928) with piano accompaniment by virtuoso Professor Emeritus Patrick Miller. Five subsequent films explore the complex and fraught relationships wrought by different colonial and postcolonial francophone cultures. Feel free to stay for post-screening discussions.

The Opening Day Refreshments will be sponsored by the Alliance Française de Hartford.

Friday, April 12 – 7:30 pm– Ouvertures (Ouvertures) by Louis Henderson and Olivier Marboeuf (2019) 132 min. Join us for some Caribbean-style hors d’œuvres at the closing reception at 6:45 pm prior to screening.
